Della Santa Corsa Speciale

Vintage Bicycle Werkes is proud to offer this stunning Della Santa Corsa Speciale. Handcrafted by legendary frame builder Rolland Della Santa, this masterpiece is complemented by a full Campagnolo Record gruppo.

Della Santa began building frames in Reno, Nevada in 1970. His work always harkened to his Italian roots and the classic frame builders of the Old Country. He used primarily Columbus tubing and Cinelli lugs that he hand filed. Every frame was custom made and he is noted for being the first sponsor and frame builder for Greg LeMond. Della Santa would go on to build the frames for LeMond’s own brand starting in 1986 as well as team bikes for the super star through his time at Team Z. 

Della Santa, himself an accomplished racer also built frames for other greats including Inga Thompson. He only worked in steel and his frames are known for a smooth, responsive ride. All of his frames were painted by Jim Allen, an artist in his own right who painted for Masi. 

This Corsa Speciale wears a gorgeous coat of red and features a matching Cinellli fork and full Campagnolo Record 11speed Carbon gruppo. Reynolds Attack Carbon wheels are shod with Veloflex Corsa EVO 28mm tires. The cockpit features Ritchey 4 Axis stem and WCS handlebars with a Fizik Arione CX saddle and Record Carbon seat post.   

The only wear found on the frame are a couple paint chips on the left side fork dropout, seat tube and seat stay (pictured). The frame measures 58cm center to center with a 57.5 cm top tube.
