Vintage Bicycle Werkes is proud to offer the Hampsten Cycles Cinghiale Titanio. Founded by brothers Andy and Steve Hampsten in 1999, Hampsten Cycles has been making and designing handcrafted frames in partnership with some of the world’s best builders ever since. Andy’s wealth of knowledge from countless professional wins including the glorious 1988 Giro d’Italia translates into frames that are as stunning to look at as they are comfortable to ride.
This Hampsten was purchased new circa 2005. The frame is hand made by Moots in Steamboat Springs, CO using US made 3/2.5 titanium tubing. It is in like new condition and is complemented nicely by a full Campagnolo Record 10 Speed Carbon/Ti gruppo. The welds are gorgeous and show no signs of cracking. The only wear noticeable is on the seat tube Cinghiale (Boar) decal.
The frame measures 56.5cm center to center with a 57cm top tube. The original True Temper Alpha Q full carbon fork is in great shape with only a couple scuff marks on the non-drive side. The derailleur hanger is also straight. The rest of the build features Ritchey Logic WCS aluminum bars and stem (44cm and 125mm respectively), Campagnolo Record Carbon seatpost, Fizik Arione Carbon saddle, titanium bottle cages and Campagnolo Nucleon wheelset with Vittoria Open Corsa CX tires and latex tubes. Feel free to message us with questions or to arrange a time to view the bike.
